Sadness & Grace

Sadness & Grace is a GM-less TTRPG for four players, each playing the Monarch of a kingdom at war. Players are invited to explore how the personal ties, emotional whims and flighty natures of each Monarch (defined by their Sources of Sadness and Reasons for Grace) shape the unfolding conflict, playing their own battles in amongst the wider landscape of war. The action rotates between each Monarch's castle, giving the players the chance not just to play the Monarch of their own kingdom, but Advisers and Petitioners from others too, constantly shaping the story and complicating each Monarch's position...
